User Enactment 1: Jewel in the Home
Purpose: Motivates people to go work out when home.
Story: It’s been a lazy day for you and it is now later afternoon/evening. You’ve been sitting on the couch, watching TV or Netflix. ‘Jewel’ (group member in background talking) says, “You’ve been sitting on the couch for an hour and there is a commercial right now. How about you do a couple crunches until the show starts again?”.
After you work out: ‘Jewel’ says, “You are doing a great job! Why don’t you add an extra rep to your routine today?”.
Purpose: Motivates people to go work out when home.

User Enactment 2: Jewel in the Office
Purpose: Motivates people to do little movements while at work.
Story: It’s an hour after lunch and you have been at the office all day. You have no meetings scheduled right now. ‘Jewel’ pipes up while you are working and says, “You have been sitting for two hours. Why don’t we take a stroll around the office and stretch your legs.”

User Enactment 3: Periphery at Home (Competitive with Yourself)
Purpose: Motivates you to go work out.
Story: It’s a lazy day and you’ve been sitting on the couch. You look over at your screen and it has a picture of the redwood forest. The screen changes to a map of California. You can see that you on a path along the coast of California, racing with your friends.
Sequence: Ahead of friends on path; Behind friends on path (off screen); Getting a mini challenge from your friends; Completing “boss level”; Completing the coast of California at the end.
Notes:
- Pathways across country (or space) that tells a story, art could reflect images from the area you are in right now.
- Add in the challenges (lightning round).
- Mini-goals (eg “boss level”)
- Pairs with any wearable or phone for tracking (can manually enter as well from phone or desktop).
User Enactment 4: Periphery at Home (Competitive with Your Team)
Purpose: Motivates you to go work out.
Story: It’s a lazy day and you’ve been sitting on the couch. You look over at your screen and it has a picture of you and your friends on a journey. The screen shows that you and your friend are about to be eaten/killed by a dinosaur/plague/fatigue/zombies.
Sequence: About to be eaten; Workout extra and get extralife/health for your team; You “die” because you don’t work out and your team still lives; You “die” because you don’t work out and then your entire team suffers; You and your team “defeat” the threat by working out and reaching your team goal.

User Enactment 5: Shoe in The Gym or Outdoors
Purpose: Informs user on form while running, while motivating users.
Story: A user is taking a walk or going for a run outdoors. When they want to see how far they've gone, or if they are close to reaching their step count goal for the day, they look down at their shoes which displays their progress. As they progress through their exercise, the shoes continuously provide the user additional feedback about their form, such as their pronation gait.
Notes:
Purpose: Informs user on form while running, while motivating users.
Story: A user is taking a walk or going for a run outdoors. When they want to see how far they've gone, or if they are close to reaching their step count goal for the day, they look down at their shoes which displays their progress. As they progress through their exercise, the shoes continuously provide the user additional feedback about their form, such as their pronation gait.
Notes:
- Actual shoes will show progress through various LED-type lights attached to the outer sole of the shoe. Feedback will be displayed in a manner that is only clearly visible to the actual user, preserving privacy.
- During the user enactment, feedback will be simulated through the use of an iPad or sketch paper and delivered to the user by the enactment coordinator.
